illbruck acoustic, inc. changes name to
pinta acoustic, inc.

illbruck acoustic, inc. has changed its name to pinta acoustic, inc. The company’s products, management, vision and direction remain unchanged. illbruck acoustic—now pinta acoustic—is a subsidiary of the former illbruck elements GmbH, which has been renamed pinta elements GmbH. The changes are effective since May 31, 2007.

“The name change represents the culmination of a reorganization that began in 2004, when the former illbruck GmbH divested its subsidiaries,” says Joerg Hutmacher, business unit manager, pinta acoustic, inc. “The change from illbruck acoustic to pinta acoustic allows us to further differentiate ourselves from the other parts of the former illbruck GmbH and focus on worldwide niche markets.”

The name “pinta” was selected because of the company founder’s association with high-performance sailing. In 1969, Willi illbruck named his first sailing yacht “pinta.” The inspiration for the name was the historical Pinta, the fastest of the ships used by Christopher Columbus on his voyage to America. In 2002, Michael illbruck’s racing team won the Volvo Challenge.

pinta elements GmbH is an international holding company headquartered in Munich, Germany, with subsidiaries in Europe and the United States. These subsidiaries supply high-quality acoustical, isolation and filter products for various business sectors. The “pinta” name component has been adopted by the worldwide subsidiaries of the pinta elements holding company.

pinta acoustic, inc. provides acoustical and noise control solutions for the architectural, commercial, industrial and broadcast/audio markets. Many of our products feature willtec® acoustical material, a porous melamine that has exceptional sound-absorbing capabilities and is Class 1 fire-rated.

willtecpinta acoustic now offers natural grey willtec® for its acoustical product

pinta acoustic offers natural grey as the new standard color for willtec, the core material in its acoustical products for wall panels, baffles, ceiling tiles, multilayer composites and HVAC duct liners.

Those products include SONEXclassic™ Panels, SONEXone™ Panels and Baffles, SONEXvalueline™ Baffles and Panels, SONEXpyramid™ Panels, SONEXsuper™ Wedges, PROSPEC® Foam, Composite and Pipelagging.

Natural grey willtec products have consistent color throughout their entire thickness. If the products are cut, broken or marred, the exposed interior color matches the exterior color.

willtec is made from lightweight porous melamine material. It is Class 1 fire-rated, meeting ASTM E-84 requirements for flame spread and smoke density, and passing the UL 1715 room fire exposure test.

willtec’s open-cell, fiber-free structure gives it extremely low density and lightweight, flexible qualities. The open cells allow the material to absorb the acoustic energy over a wide range of frequencies, with noise reduction coefficients ranging from 0.75 to 1.05, depending on product thickness and surface finish.

PROSPEC DDpinta acoustic’s PROSPEC Decibel Drop helps keep noise where it belongs

pinta acoustic, inc. has introduced PROSPEC Decibel Drop, a high-performance viscoelastic damping compound that decreases the sound traveling to adjacent rooms. PROSPEC Decibel Drop is appropriate for use in commercial spaces, broadcast/audio facilities, home theaters and multifamily dwellings.

“PROSPEC Decibel Drop is an economical solution for reducing sound transmission into adjacent interior areas for both new construction and retrofit applications,” says Joerg Hutmacher, business unit manager, pinta acoustic.

PROSPEC Decibel Drop is Class 1 fire-rated. The product provides superior acoustic control in low frequencies and has a sound transmission class (STC) rating of 50 to 62, depending on the construction configuration.

PROSPEC Decibel Drop is easy to install between layers of drywall or plywood in walls and ceilings or between layers of subflooring. The product comes in a cartridge and is applied with a standard caulk gun. Two to three cartridges cover 32 square feet, applied randomly over the drywall surface area.

NoiseBusterSONEX® NoiseBuster® Electronic Noise Canceling Earmuffs

Protection and safety for industrial workers and DIYers

pinta acoustic, inc., has introduced SONEX NoiseBuster Electronic Noise Canceling (ENC) Earmuffs, which provide passive hearing protection with advanced electronic noise cancellation technology. The product provides high-performance ear protection and increased safety for industrial workers, as well as for do-it-yourself users of lawnmowers and power tools, and for motor sports fans.

SONEX NoiseBuster ENC Earmuffs deliver noise reduction across the full range of frequencies—up to 20 dB of electronic noise cancellation and passive noise reduction rating (NRR) of 26 dB (worn over the head).

The electronic noise cancellation protection component is the most effective defense against low-frequency noises such as those generated by engines, fans and motors. The passive-protection component is the most effective defense against mid- and high-frequency noise such as speech and saws. >> Read More>>
